Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU), Pune invites applications from eligible candidates for Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune B-MAT MBA Entrance Test 2016 for admissions to the first year of two years full time post-graduate degree program Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration - Human Resource (MBA-HR) of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune for the academic session 2016-17

Seats Availability

i. MBA - 2 years full time - 180 Intake (each centes)
ii. MBA (HR) - 2 years full time - 60 Intake (each centes)

The seats will be filled on merit based on their performance in B-MAT Test and GDPI conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University at the designated centers

One seat over and above the sanctioned intake in the Program will be reserved for sons and daughters of migrants from J&K valley and Defence & Civil Service personnel engagedmin fighting against terrorist’s activities in Jammu & Kashmir valley

15% of the seats are reserved for Management Category. To appear for the B-MAT Test and they should separately apply to the Registrar, BVDU, Pune on prescribed from available in the University Office

Eligibility Criteria

A graduate with bachelor or Master Degree from any discipline who has passed with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST Candidates) from a recognized University (Or)

The candidates in the final year Degree (Bachelors or Masters) are also eligible to apply; the admission of student, will remain provisional until the other necessary certificates in original, are submitted to the institute

The last date to submit all the certificates in original shall be 25th August 2016; if the cartificates are not submitted by the said date or the eligibility will not be granted and the admission would automatically stand cancelled

The candidate should be an Indian National

Basis of Selection

A candidate desirous of seeking admission to MBA Program should fulfill the minimum eligibility condition as laid in above

He/She must have appeared for the B-MAT Test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune

The candidates shall be selected for admission on the basis of their ranks in the selection list (prepared on the basis of the marks scored at B-MAT Test) and the availability of the seats for the program at the time of counselling and admission

In case of candidates securing equal marks, their relative rank will be determined on the basis of the following order of preference

Nature of Entrance Test (B-MAT)

The entrance test B-MAT for admission to MBA Program consists of in all 250 marks. It consists of (A) Written Test and (B) Group Discussion and Interview

The duration of the B-MAT Test will be for two and half hours

The B-MAT Test will consist of in all 200 marks. It consists of 200 multiple-choice questions with four alternatives for each. One has to choses the right /probable choice. There is no negative marking. The break up of the marks is as follows:

a) Written Test: (i) Current Affairs (20 questions/marks), (ii) Mathematics at Xth level (30 questions/marks), (iii) Logical and Abstract Reasoning (50 questions/marks), (iv) Computer Awareness (20 questions/marks), (v) Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (40 questions/marks), (vi) Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions/marks), (vii) Management Skill (20 questions/marks)

b) Group Discussion and Interview Test: (i) Performance in Group Discussion (30 questions), (ii) Performance at Interview (20 questions); total 50 questions
